New works are focusing on ephemeral, temporary expressions in unfired clay. Materials are loaned from the earth and returned when the works are documented.

I am challenging my use of fired ceramic to find less environmentally intensive ways to create work. I am also hoping to challenge the human requirement for permanence, ownership and commodity. Use of Adobe was first inspired by my trip to New Mexico in 2023 where the indigenous tradition of soil, water, straw and clay is used as a building material.
